The bathroom in Hendoll Cottage 1 was absolutely divine! I loved how we had two bathrooms, one with a bath or shower and the other with just a shower. It was perfect for us as a couple because we could have our own spaces to get ready in the morning. Plus, the water pressure in the shower was amazing, giving us a refreshing start to the day.
If I had to nitpick, I would say that I personally preferred the bathroom with the shower over the one with the bath or shower. But hey, that's just my preference, and I'm sure others might enjoy a relaxing bath after a long day.

From the vintage furniture to the quaint wallpaper, it felt like stepping back in time. The general areas of the cottage, such as the living room and dining area, were spacious and tastefully decorated. Being a senior woman, I particularly appreciated the accessibility of the cottage. There were grab bars in the bathroom and the rooms were situated on the ground floor, making it easy for me to navigate without any trouble.
I would have loved if there were more activities or entertainment options for senior guests. Perhaps some board games or puzzles would have been a lovely addition to keep us entertained during the evenings.

I absolutely adored the charming and cozy atmosphere of the cottage. The decorations were lovely and reminded me of my grandmother's house. The furniture was comfortable and easy to navigate for us senior folks. The general areas, such as the living room and dining area, were spacious and well-maintained. It was such a treat to have a place that felt like home away from home.
It would have been great if the children working there could have provided some extra assistance for senior guests. A little help with carrying our bags or navigating the stairs would have made our vacation even more enjoyable.

The property features a garden and free private parking, which was a breath of fresh air in today's world of paid parking and limited space. It felt as if I had landed in a secret oasis amidst a concrete jungle.
Regulating the heating was a challenge.

The whole place was amazing! The house was spotless, with all the bells and whistles. Fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful back garden. The location was unbeatable, right next to a charming canal. We spent four fantastic nights here and loved every minute of it. Highly recommended!
On arrival, we would have appreciated some provisions like milk for a cuppa after a long journey. The lack of proper ventilation in the downstairs bedroom made the room smell damp, and it got uncomfortably hot at night.
